Christopher Padesky’s art career began at the helm of a lawnmower that earned the money needed to purchase his first camera, a Canon G5 point-and-shoot. It was this camera that rode alongside Christopher during a bicycle trip across Europe that same summer, and it was on this trip that Christopher’s equal, enduring loves for travel and photography were uncovered.
Since then, having upgraded to a Canon 7D, Christopher has photographed his varied, oftentimes challenging, forays into the natural world, from canoeing one thousand miles down the Mississippi River (alone) to clamoring around the Appalachian Mountains to cycling across the contiguous United States (again alone). Wildlife photography, in particular, fuels Christopher’s zest for the environment, and his travels in search of the most magnificent natural wonders have taken him to twenty-two countries thus far.
Christopher is now a resident of Rock Springs Wyoming, where he works as an educator at the elementary level. He is proudly concentrating his daily photography endeavors on the unmatchable scenery that the Red Desert has to offer.
